Artifact: ISTE Lesson Plan

Reflection:
I created the ISTE Lesson Plan to implement more NETS-S standards with my students in the classroom. I created a lesson where the students would complete a practice EOCT and then analyze those results to determine their strongest and weakest areas. The students would then use the Internet and Google Docs to find resources to help with a specific standard and create a QR code that could be utilized by other students who needed help with a topic. The students completed the assignment in the computer lab because they do not all have their own technology and after everyone was finished I printed the QR codes to hang in my classroom as resources.
While completing and implementing this lesson plan, I was required to manage digital tools and resources that my students were using to find, create, and share via Google Docs. Imanaged the digital tools by providing the students with a tutorial on how to create a QR code and a sample of what I was looking for from the assignment. I also was monitoring the Google Document to ensure that the students were using the correct tools and picking appropriate resources for the classroom and topic. I provided some sample resources to students who were stuck or confused about where to start.
I learned through this lesson plan that students are able to find good resources on the Internet to help with their weaknesses but they need guidance. In the future, I would like to bring in a few iPads to use in the classroom and give examples of ways that students could provide resources for the project, including creating their own flipped video using the ShowMe app on the iPad. I am certain that I would get great results from my students.
