Introduction
My name is Tara Whittington, and I received my Master's Degree in Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University in May 2014. I began the program Summer 2012. I graduated from the University of North Carolina in 2008 with a BacheIor's degree in Political Science and Psychology. Immediately after graduation, I began teaching high school math and began the TAPP program to obtain my teacher certification. I have since obtained my Educational Specialist from Piedmont College in Curriculum and Instruction.
I currently teach Geometry to 10th grade students at Temple High School in Carroll County. KSU's reputation in instructional technology led me to the Master's Degree program in the Department of Instructional Technology. My ultimate goal is to obtain a job as a technology coach.
The purpose of this portfolio is for me to demonstrate mastery of the PSC Instructional Technology standards. As you can see, there are a series of links below the KSU logo that you can visit. Of particular importance is the "standards" link. Under this link, you will see a series of artifacts and reflections documenting the important work I have completed during this program. Each artifact represents mastery of the standard under which it is represented.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Kennesaw State University, and feel that I am well-prepared to integrate technology into my classroom and to assist other educators in using technology and providing professional learning opportunities for them.
